Complete Juvenile-in-Justice Digital Archive
This digital archive is a complete collection of all images for Juvenile-in-Justice. The archive lives as a Google Drive that you likely already have access to, but if not, you need to submit a request below to gain access.
How to navigate the Google Drive Folders:
Under the “All locations” folder you will find each location by state. Each location has sub folders with different dates visited or various centers in one location. You’ll quickly figure out the structure by clicking through all of the folders. All 3 book pdfs are also available.
Each center and location has supporting word documents with more information to each location photographed.
Each image and folder has metadata (description) that you can access by clicking on the information button on the top right hand side of the screen. This will open up information about either the picture or folder you are looking at. You can also right click on an image and select “view details.”
This metadata also allows you to search by keyword. For example, if you search this drive by the word “juvenile hall” all images relating to juvenile halls will show up. You can find a list of key words to search by on this document here.
